Films you've watched recently.

Saw Woody Allen's Everything you wanted to Know about Sex* (*but were afraid to ask) again last night.Used to use a couple of scenes from this in class (What is Sodomy? and What happens during Ejaculation?) dated for some perhaps but still funny ,IMO.

Finding your feet - Channel 4 tonight 9:15pm. I've watched it before and will definitely watch it again tonight. Superb comedy and superb cast:

A wealthy woman's privileged existence is shattered when she discovers her husband is having an affair with her best friend. Seeking solace, she turns to her estranged sister, who lives in a London council estate, and finds a new lease of life in joining her community dance class. Comedy, starring Imelda Staunton, Celia Imrie, Timothy Spall and Joanna Lumley.

Thanks you for the recommendation RHB, a very pleasant film indeed.

Philomena
Never seen it before, beautifully acted. Depressing and ( at times) uplifting.
Awful true story, some things are staged/ inaccurate but the Big picture story is accurate.
Really held my attention, very enjoyable
A 9/10 film

Silly , the name of the film put me off , which is why I have only just seen it

Went out on C4 on Saturday night I notice. Also seen it before but will watch it again.Cheers for the heads up.

Watched 7500 last night. A great build up in suspense and then all the action in a confined space. And better still, just over an hour and a half, so no padding.

Caught up with Finding your Feet again On Iplayer last night.Wonderful film .Life enhancing.

Question for film buffs. What was Immelda Stauton's first film? (No cheating).

Clue it wasn't a Mike Leigh film.

Kajaki tonight on bbc1 12.35
brilliant film. True story of British troops in a minefield in Afghanistan. Highly moving . Puts into perspective what a “bad days” is

Amazing film and such a shame it didn’t get a bigger budget because the story is as you say highly moving. Having served out there and lost friends it’s a film I relate to.
