Films you've watched recently.

Resistance - Set in WW2 France its a dramatisation of Marcel Mangel's role is saving thousands of Jewish children from the the Nazis. He later changed his surname to Marceau. A bit harrowing at times but a decent watch 8/10.

Saw Quadrophenia again last night. It holds up really well*.Thought Phil Daniels and Toyah Wilcox ,in particluar, were excellent.

*One reason it does was as director Franc Rodam mentioned in the DVD extras that he turned down Pete Towshend's offer of a cassette of the original Who music with strings added, on the basis that he didn't want to make a Ken Russell style rock Opera a la Tommy but preferred to use the original music plus music from the period (1964).

I managed to convince the ABC Cinema in Alexandra Street that I was 18 when that first came out in 1979. I was 14 ?
