How Do You Explain THIS To Your Other Half?

Taken from the Aberdeen Evening Express:

"Red-faced revellers were left out in the cold after someone pinched their clothes.

The boozy man and woman had sneaked into a grassy area after a night out in Aberdeen

The pair took off their clothes and left them in a pile.

But a thief swiped them and made off.

That left the woman, in her 20s, to walk home along three city streets with nothing but newspapers to cover her modesty.

She then had to wait for her boyfriend to arrive home to let her into her flat.

Police today warned members of the public about drinking too much and landing themselves in trouble.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday after the woman - who is not being named - had been on a night out with pals in the city centre.

She left a bar with a man and the pair ended up in Bon-Accord Terrace Gardens at 3.30am.

Police sources said they stripped off and left their clothes in a neat pile before romping in the dark.

But later, when they went to retrieve their clothes, they found they had been stolen.

The man then left and the young woman was forced to cover up with newspapers she found in the area.

It is understood she had to walk from Bon-Accord Terrace to Springbank Terrace and then on to Crown Street.

She was spotted by another man, on his way home to Polmuir Road, who helped her back to her flat on Crown Street.

But with no way of getting into her flat, they waited until the girl's boyfriend appeared.

Grampian Police were then alerted and, when interviewed, the embarrassed woman explained what had happened.

Officers searched for her clothes in the area she had been in but found no trace of them.

A police source added: "While there is an element of humour to this story, it is a serious issue when someone drinks so much that they go and do something they wouldn't normally do.

"There has been an increasing number of incidents where young women are going out and drinking far too much and getting into situations that they shouldn't.""
