If we are allowed 2 votes then Gillingham and Barrow in Furness both of which are like stepping through a time warp. Gillingham's only redeeming feature being they speak a language we can remotely understand.

Good call on Stevenage and Naples. Both ideal size for tactical nuclear weaponry. Lincolnshire may take more than one but it's flat profile may help spread the blast waves. I'm finding it hard to defend Basildon these days but I still believe that Billericay (Basildon but with labels and even more tories) should go first.

My vote’s may seem like I am still a bit bitter ten years latter but it is based on several visits to the town. Going on the basis we are allowed two votes I will go for Grimsby and then Grimsby again just in case it was not totally destroyed with the first one.
I did give some serious consideration to Margate but it seems at least efforts are being made to improve that town.

Coventry. Shouldn't have bothered rebuilding it.

I went to Warwick University for 4 years which is on the outskirts of Coventry (misleading name I know but there's already a Coventry University). It's just a grey, dull, uninspiring place. Nightlife is awful for a city, shopping-wise you may aswell hop on the train to Birmingham, and like most cities it's mostly inhabited by chavs and immigrants. Oh and the accent is horrible. The best thing about Coventry is that it's well-connected so it's easy to get out of the place!

After a lot of thought, I would go for Leigh-on-Sea. Now I dare say some of you live in Leigh, but come on, how hard is it to drive down Leigh Rd and Leigh Broadway without stopping for some idiot in a 4x4 who is either illegally parking or just pulling out onto these roads without a care in the world.
As for Friday and Saturday night it is IMHO the cocaine capital of Essex and that is saying something, it's not unusual for me to get a job in Leigh and some idiot comes out of a pub with cocaine under their nose.
Half the customers have no manners, think they should be on TOWIE, and live so far up their own backsides it's unbelievable.
The rest of the boroughs we have no issues with drugged up idiots and posh bitches that think they are something important.

I dislike residents of Leigh who think they live in Notting Hill.

Outside South Essex no one distinguishes between Leigh Stanford le Hope or Basildon.

Very true.

I've been there only twice,(when I was a student in Brum).Once to see Chuck Berry and once to play football against a WU team.

Couldn't wait to get back to Brum both times.

I only said Surbiton because the bloke we bought the place from, (a Brit.from South London), described it as such.

For the record, I've also seen SC described as "the Hampstead of Barcelona."

Is that based on the proportion of Champagne Socialists?

Infact it's becoming like ghost town.
