Really? Big railway depot at Bounds Green - rough as a badgers arse, and I've lived in Hackney (before it was dripping with cool).
Don't know where the railway depot is, but the streets around the tube station are nice. West of Bounds Green Road towards Muswell Hill is very nice, the other way towards Wood Green and Palmers Green less so, but there's still pockets of loveliness. I mean, Bishops Avenue it ain't, but you can tell it was all well-to-do leafy suburbia round there 50-60 years ago.

Just north of Ally Pally station. I have to say it's probably been a good 25 years since I've been there, so it's probably been gentrified up the wazoo.

Nile ranger will he ever go straight and learn I doubt it .But rember this he is not the first bad lad in football And I doubt he will be the last .George Best even after being halled over the coals by Matt busby about his drinking and gambling he never stopped doing both but what a footballer he was .Many more have done stupid thing in football and carried on playing .I like you don't know as yet what Ranger has done no doubt we will in time .

Good point, that.

Tony Adams being a good case in point.

There's some pretty bad ones. Let's face it. But also some players who have learned by their mistakes and become better people for it. Helping others, too.

Failed drugs test
I hope it's something like this - something where there could possibly be an innocent explanation. Rather than an actual crime where he could potentially be banged to rights. Clutching at straws I know, I just don't want him to go.

For the club to come out with a public statement of his suspension means it is serious , otherwise surely they would have done all they can to keep this matter in house...especially with Ranger being in all of the tabloids earlier this week.

Shame , the club have tried really hard to do everything the right way but it would appear they have been badly let down.

I suspect that IF it's something that may result in his sacking then the club will need to have seen to be up front about it from the outset.

rather an actual crime, like taking drugs you mean?

It wouldn't surprise if this latest misdemeanor is Nile choosing to wear his own tracksuit to court rather than an SUFC one.

I have also heard he is partial to a bet. We all know betting on matches is taken seriously by the FA, maybe there could be some connection ? ( Allegedly, possibly, on second thoughts........... ) :nope:

Slightly as an aside, I can understand a player not being allowed to bet on his own team, but I don't see why (and I'm only using a made-up name as an example) Fred Smith at Tring Rovers (apologies if such a team exists!) should be banned from betting on a La Liga match.

(As I understand it, a footballer is prohibited from betting on any match).

Nearly. Tring Athletic.

Players with any sense get their mates to put on their bets...no comeback then.
