Conflicting info coming out, in an interview PB said a week to 10 days, however BBC Essex reported there would be a further statement later today... Nothing on SUFC website or twitter.

If he'd failed an FA drug test then surely it would be in the public domain by now?

Ah ok, I'm not too confident then. Would have thought CP would have mentioned something if there was.

I'm surprised it hasn't been leaked by someone in the know, guys I know who usually get info from players haven't been able to find out a thing. Makes me think it's either quite serious and they have all been put under a gagging order or very few people in the club actually know.

I have known SUFC 'important' announcements to appear just before midnight.

Spoke to someone at work today who's says that that guy behind him in the stands on Saturday was saying that drugs were found in Nile's locker at the ground or training ground. Now I know the FA will step in for a failed drugs test but not sure on drugs being found in a locker so not sure on the possibility of this

There's nothing like a reliable source is there.............:whistling:

Not doubting the fact that's what someone told you but I would be incredibly shocked if that was the case as surely that's grounds for on the spot sacking?

Yes I agree, hence why I said I can't believe it's what happened. Wouldn't a failed drugs test also be instant dismissal too though?

If there is any truth in this story, any substance that was found, would have to go away to a lab for testing, that could explain why possibly it would be a suspension pending the results?

Yep and this is an FA suspension, so wouldn't any issue about drugs in Nile's locker be dealt with in-house, first.

My understanding is that the FA informed Southend United of the issue, not the other way around.
