Better than the terrace. What's the view like from the seated area?
Get back row and it’s not bad. As others have said it’s a huge upgrade on the terrace which is pointless unless you are at the front or are 7ft tall. What's the view like from the seated area?
Similar to old Yeovil (if memory serves me right) ?It is not. It’s a dreadful grass one with a huge slope.
Have we managed to smash through the 600 barrier as yet?577 sold so far. Good effort.
If we don't sell many more, there is a chance of actually seeing the pitch from the terraces!!

Wait until we go to Oxford City!!!It's tight between Wealdstone and Dorking for the worst view.
Ah a club that actually actively provides decent, clear information for away supporters. Good on 'em.Some useful information here from Wealdstone, especially parking, and local train stations.
Alex Dyer takes his first game in interim charge as Wealdstone return to Vanarama National League action on Tuesday evening hosting Southend United for the first home fixture of 2024 and first since the departure of Stuart Maynard to Notts County.
Things you need to know:
Turnstiles will open at 6.45pm and we kindly ask all supporters – home and away – to arrive early to ensure you are in the ground in plenty of time for the 7.45pm kick off.
The match will be segregated with Southend supporters allocated the MODU Stand for seating and the Hawthorne Terrace & Shots Stand for standing. Southend fans must enter the stadium through the away turnstiles which are clearly signposted at the entrance to Grosvenor Vale.
We encourage all fans to purchase tickets in advance online, but any Southend supporters who wish to purchase a ticket at the ground should purchase one at the ticket box at the entrance to Grosvenor Vale where cash and cards are accepted, tickets for Southend supporters cannot be purchased at the away turnstile.
We're also running a special online-only ticket offer this Tuesday as we gear up for a week with three home fixtures. Car Parking & Public Transport
The Field Car Park at Grosvenor Vale is now closed for the winter and therefore parking will be street only or at various public car parks nearby. We encourage all fans to travel to the game by public transport.
Grosvenor Vale has great access to local railway and underground stations: Ruislip and Ruislip Manor are both on the Metropolitan Line and Piccadilly Line; whilst West Ruislip
and Ruislip Gardens are on the Central Line. West Ruislip is also on the Chiltern Main line out of London Marylebone. Ruislip station & Ruislip Manor are just over 5 minute walk away from Grosvenor Vale, while Ruislip Gardens is around a 10 minute walk.
Access to the main car park at the Grosvenor Vale Stadium is limited to Wealdstone players and officials only. Any vehicle attempting to gain access to the main stadium car park who has not had prior authorisation will be turned away by the stewards.
Access to Grosvenor Vale for any vehicle will cease at 7.15pm with the entire area becoming pedestrianised to allow fans on foot to arrive safely to the stadium.
For fans who chose to drive and park in local residential side streets, please park legally, do not block driveways and keep off the curb. Always ensure there is space for emergency vehicles if they need to get access to any side streets.
And last but not least, we sincerely hope that both sets of fans enjoy the game!
And of course Wealdstone started building a new ground of their own in Edgware right next to the underground track with work starting in around 2003, but having built much of the main stand and having installed two covered terraces behind each goal, ran out of money in 2004 when the building partners went bust.Wealdstone's ground originally used to belong to a team called Ruislip Manor, who played in the Spartan South Midlands league (equivalent to the Essex Senior League). Wealdstone have put a decent size stand in and improved the dressing rooms / clubhouse as a bare minimum to meet the required standard, but the rest of the ground essentially remains as it was when Ruislip Manor vacated it, hence the large areas of flat standing plus the shallow step terrace, so once you've segregated the away fans it leaves the facilities somewhat to be desired.
Dorking's ground has a different backstory, it's a new build replacement for an older ground that existed before it, that of Dorking FC (not Wanderers). They also played in a league equivalent to the Essex Senior so Meadowbank was designed with that level of football in mind, with Wanderers inheriting the ground when the other Dorking went bust. As they've risen through the leagues rather rapidly, they've had to make the ground improvements in between seasons, meaning we have been left with these easy but not spectator-friendly solutions.
Yep, no love lost between the Stones and Barnet and you can understand why. Ironically I think Wealdstone play closer to the borough of Barnet than Barnet FC do!And of course Wealdstone started building a new ground of their own in Edgware right next to the underground track with work starting in around 2003, but having built much of the main stand and having installed two covered terraces behind each goal, ran out of money in 2004 when the building partners went bust.
The unfinished ground lay unfinished for many years before another club took it over and completed it. We played there on 30 December!
Incredible story, possibly unique in football.Yep, no love lost between the Stones and Barnet and you can understand why. Ironically I think Wealdstone play closer to the borough of Barnet than Barnet FC do!
Don't think there are really many winners here. Barnet seem to have lost about half of their fan base with the move and the ones left seem rather bitter and twisted.
The Hive is only 6 miles from Barnet Jai. So Shoebury to Leigh for an idea how far. I think Ruislip is a lot further from Barnet.Yep, no love lost between the Stones and Barnet and you can understand why. Ironically I think Wealdstone play closer to the borough of Barnet than Barnet FC do!
