Ryan Leonard

Lenny has the athleticism and pace to play in the premier league, but sadly the technical abilty to play in League 2.

So top half of League one, or bottom half Championship is about his level.

Sounds like he is better off leaving and moving to a club that appreciate him. Harris and Barrett will know him well and know how best to play him, let’s hope the Millwall move comes off.

King Richard's career went down the Swannee after an ill advised move to Sheffield United. I hope Leonard's doesn't follow the same course.

it really didn't. He went to Brentford after them, and top-scored in the 88/89 season for them. But he got injured (20 in 87 games), ended up at Falkirk and won the Challenge Cup and promotion, scoring 31 in 92 games. Millwall was a disaster though and he slipped off the radar.

ps who advised him to go to Sheff U? Barry Silkman.

Rumours are Millwall are offering £750k but Sheffield United have rejected it, looking like this won't happen if true.

Rumours are that Millwall have offered that amount but Sheffield want twice as much for him!!

Millwall only just broke their transfer record this window by signing Tom Bradshaw for £1m when that goes through in Jan.

I still think that he could, and should, have done better. And the Blades was still the wrong move for him and no doubt Silkman was at least partly responsible.
