First XI
When I first lost my job at the start of December, I thought a couple of weeks off might be very nice, relax a bit over xmas, think about where I am and where I want to go, things like that.
Begining my ninth week of sitting at home, it is starting to wear a bit thin. I seem to have developed an unhealthy obsession with Crisps, Chocky Biscuits, Porn, and NCIS. Not to mention being logged into Shrimperzone for approximately 38 hours per day.
In the nine weeks I have managed to get four job interviews through agencies, and not managed to get any of the posts, which is dissappointing to say the least. Especially as the reasons given were that I was too experienced, could not drive, did not have an enhanced CRB, and did not have knowledge of a specific piece of software. Oh well. Morons.
Spending days listening to a grumpy Landlord, not being able to go to the pub, ringing recruitment agencies, filling in job application forms, dealing with Housing Benefits, is definitely not the way to keep sane.
I honestly belive I am slowly going mental, and not in a good way. :)
To cap off my grumpyness, our lovely little football team seems to have gone s*** again. *sigh*
Sure everything will be alright in the end!
Are the rest of the Shrimperzone pub dwellers as grumpy as me in this cold, credit crunched, recession fuelled, and misery riddled January, or are there some positive tales to tell?
As my good friends tell me, it could be worse. :D
Shouldn't have lost your job
