KTM X-Bow

We love the fact that this wild-looking KTM car came about after a bunch of enthusiastic engineers from KTM decided to build a fun sports car. Usefully, they had some friends at nearby Audi who came up with the powerplant - the 236bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged unit that's found under the hood of everything from the A4 to the TT. The difference with the KTM though is the fact that instead of hauling along a luxurious saloon or smart coupé, that 236bhp only has to shift a small amount of lightweight metal and carbon-fibre. KTM is quoting a dry weight of 721kg, so even full of oil, fuel and a driver and passenger the X-Bow should be under 1,000kg. And light means fast, and precise, the X-Bow promising to be both.
It's hardly surprising then to find that it's able to sprint to 62mph in just 3.9 seconds, its grip and pace meaning it's likely to be almost impossible to keep up with one at a circuit. And just look at it; there is real beauty in its raw functionality.
