At a ground where we have probably a better record than any other over the last 10 years (played 6 won 4 drawn 2), we have referee Mark Haywood from Wakefield, West Yorkshire in charge. This is his 5th season as a League referee and we have managed to avoid him completely for the last 4 and a bit years.

I really can add little about him other than that his rise through the ranks was quite rapid and that on the one occasion I saw him referee a live match on TV, he was pretty good. Card count the right side of average with reds in particular being low. Getting plenty of Championship matches. In fact his last match was the Derby-QPR game when QPR scored twice in added-on time to get an unlikely point.

Assistants are Alf Greenwood from North Yorks and Marc Perry from Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands with Darren Handley travelling all the way from Bolton, Lancashire to hold the numbers board.
