I think Ron is trying to save the club
In what way(s) do you think he is trying to save the club?

I think Ron is trying to save the club,
I'm not a Ron supporter, but it makes no sense for Ron to leave the club to die, especially before the new stadium is built. He has had ample opportunity to leave us to burn with all the winding up orders, he clearly wants us to survive, if only for his own personal gain. Now he probably isn't doing a very good job of keeping us afloat but I don't see how you can anymore, Ron crippled the club years ago.In what way(s) do you think he is trying to save the club?

Cutting costs (e.g. the wage bill,) I'm not saying he's doing a good job about it, but he's not going to give up when he could make money off FFDoesn't explain how he's trying to "save" the club.
Necessary due diligence ? I'm sure I first read about the new ground in 1981, admittedly not FF. Since FF was first mooted how many other new grounds have been completed ? Chesterfield is the obvious one. Does FF predate Scunthorpe, Walsall, Huddersfield, MK Dons, Oxford and others I have forgotten ?
Anyone have 1 share they'd consider selling me or giving me proxy for the AGM ?
ORM, i will give you proxy for the AGM if your serious
What is the point? You won't accept it.
The 06/07 figures were broken down here and nothing stood out as dodgy. I think Firestorm has noted on several occasions that our admin expensese are consistent with the level that they've been since the mid-90s. I'd like to see the expenses for 08/09 and 09/10 thouroughly broken down similar to how 06/07's were but I don't expect it to change people's preconceptions. It's a lot easier to think something is going on than accept the truth of how unviable a business Southend United is.
He has lost interest in the club but he needs it for the time-being to get all his property development project through. He is doing this on the cheap by downsizing the club. Poorer football = less fans = No need for big expensive stadium
Here's another potential scenario from another thread :

From the looks of things the whole development (the shops, the hotel, the flats, the casino) is going to take years to complete now that he wasn't able to get the cash together to do it in one go. He's going to have to keep the Council onside for, I'd guess, up to a decade. I don't think he can afford to let the football club go bust at the first possible moment."
Or he goes back to the council and tells them there is no money to build even a three sided stadium until the retail development is up and running and providing a revenue stream. So he forces the council to override the requirement to build a new ground before we vacate RH, keeping Sainsbury's happy (and the council quietly happy too in view of the increased revenue they will derive from the new developments).
We end up ground sharing with Dagenham and Redbridge - or if we have dropped into the Blue Square Thingy by then, Billericay Town.
RM then sells the development rights to the retail park to the highest bidder - gives Tara his £3m quid back - and sets sail for the British Virgin Islands.
Won't happen of course
Wasn't this exactly what was proposed some time ago? I vaguely remember a January move in point being mentioned at some point...
But that's assuming that we do indeed slip to below 17th, and CB is using that assumption as a stick to beat Sturrock with which is entirely unfair.
Lets hope not.
We're not in danger of relegation this year though. It's not exactly unusual for midtable sides to switch off at the end of the season.

What if the seaso card renewals are so poor that he decides to put the club into admin this season ?

As far as I understand administration doesn't clear our debts, it just brings someone in who will sell all our assets (ie any player we can get money for) and lay off staff to balance the booksWhat if the seaso card renewals are so poor that he decides to put the club into admin this season ?
