I did consider Elton John but went with Stevie Wonder. Townshend would never have got anywhere on here without degenerating into accusations being thrown from certain quarters that he's a paedophile. Never a massive Bowie fan myself, although I did like some of his early stuff. You should have got a nomination in Rob, did your brother not prompt you?!

No. You can't rely on anyone these days.

Barna is on "holiday" for a few weeks so if anybody wants to put somebody else forward or take over Brian Wilson step in please.

John - it may be difficult for me to get on here today, but here's what Barna has to say about Brian Wilson:-

"Here's a link to the full Pet Sounds:-http://youtu.be/yCUh3Q_e9_cBrian Wilson was only 23 when he wrote this and it was already his 10th album.Even Macca admitted it was better than anything that the Beatles had ever done(up to that point).Much as I like Morrisey,he's the voice of miserable Manchester.Brian Wilson is the voice of summer.Even at 70 he's still creating great music.Check out his new Gershwin CD.I saw him perform at the RFH last September(the day after our home game with Plymouth and he's still going strong."

If it's not too late by tonight for me to step into the fray on Barna's behalf, then I'll put in my tuppence ha'penny worth for those glorious summer sounds that lit up the old house.
