The 2010 side looks stronger defensively but the fact remains that the 2009 side could score goals......well Barnard could score goals anyway. This year's side is potentially a stronger unit but the fact we look powder puff offensively is a worry. Sturrock seems to have got things right at one end, if he can do the same with the other we can really go for promotion this season.
I'd have to give the 2010 side the edge......
This is actually an interesting point. Barnard scored a ridiculous percentage of our goals, (helped by taking the penalties, such as IIRC the first one of his hat-trick), but as a team we weren't that prolific at all.
It will be interesting to see in December what team scored more goals: 2009 SUFC, with Barney scoring plenty but no-one, or 2010 with the goals shared far more around. I think I'll go for the team without the 20 goal a season man.
