    Britt Assombalonga!

Just seen his penalty attempt on TV. It almost went vertical! :hilarious:
  2. Silencer

Nice to see ex-players still having affection for us

Was great seeing messages and hearing of support from ex-shrimpers following last nights successSpinner and Stan Collymore (both legends) tweeted positive messages after reaching Wembley, Britt Assombolonga posted a video or him and family/friends celebrating Timlin's goal, Chris Phillips always...

BBC1 late kick off regional team of the year

Daniel Bentley and Ben Coker both made the team. As did Britt Assombolonga and Ben Reeves Not bad at all

    Goals for promotion or play-offs

I think that a team needs around 72 goals in a season to be in the hunt for automatic promotion - that comes out as about 1 and half goals a game. That doesn't always count of course as a 1-0 win (Hartlepool and Burton) still pockets the 3 points on offer just as much as a 3-0 win (Mansfield)...

    Ex Shrimper Goal Scorers 12/10/13

No premiership or championship games today. So it's a chance for the lower league Scorers to catch up with Britt.

    Britt Assombalonga

Signs for Posh on a massive 4-year deal
  7. Britt

Is Brit in the Watford team because he has been on twitter at wembley
  8. Assombalonga and Reeves

I have heard from an absolutely impeccable source that the club have offered Britt and Ben terms for next season. Both are said to be thinking it over. Incidently, both players have retained their lodgings in the town, at least for the time being.

Would you take "Couldmynamebeanylonga" on loan again?

Just to put it out there for next season, would you take "Britt" for another season providing we could? He might not be the complete deal but he is only young and can only get better so my vote would be "Yes". I do however fel he will be onloan at a higher league 1 club nearer to watford!

Finish with a whimper or a BANG!

? What is it to be for the final stretch of the season? We can't win anything by playing safe: so now lets try and get some goals and entertain. We have 4 very good (for this division) strikers and we may as well have them all on the pitch together. We may concede a few (we are anyway) BUT we...
  11. Britt Interview

http://www.southendunited.co.uk/news/article/050413-britt-assombalonga-wembley-753786.aspx? Always find Britt quite interesting, he seems just massively enthusiastic about his time here. I'd love for him to score on Sunday (although I want most of our players to score!). When he wasn't scoring...

    Who starts up front tonight?

Let's suppose that BBBC is available for for the Plymouth game along with Britt. Seeing that Eastwood scored on Saturday and Tomlin made a promising return in the second-half..........who does Luggy select up front on Tuesday night, against Plymouth. Given our even more desperate need for three...

    Question Britt Assombolonga - thoughts?

It is two thirds of the way through the season (ish) yet I am still unsure of whether I rate Assombolonga or not, I usually have fairly strong opinions on most players but for whatever reason, the jury is still out for me. I was very shocked to see him on the bench tonight, but then I started...

Pre-Match Thread Team for Accrington, Lancashire

It seems the goalie and back four pick themselves - and I know of no new injury worries there. I suspect Barry will be back to partner Britt up front ............ leaving the midfield selection. Hurst, Laird and Spillane plus one other. Leonard or Reeves ......... or coming up on the outside...

How do we turn round this slump in form ?

We have had such a dramatic drop in form that I am seriously worried that this season could be another wash out. We had that fantastic run but the wheels seem to have come off spectacularly. Also the injury list now looks so bad that I don't see how we can plug the gaps. There are so many teams...
  17. Breaking News Britt signs new deal at Watford

Signs a new deal at Watford. Well deserved IMO, if we go up maybe another loan deal for us, but we've been lucky to have him this season.
  18. Smith says sorry and also not good news about Britt's injury

    Pre-Match Thread v Burton

Smith Clohessy Cresswell Prosser Barker Makndawire Hurst Laird Timlin Tomlin Britt/? If not Britt then Freddy or Barry? Personally I would go with Freddy as I think he has a better footy brain & more suited to the style were playing atm. 2-0 win, Tomlin & Timlin with his first of the season.
  20. Breaking News Early Christmas Present - Assombalonga loan extended till the summer

The club has just tweeted that some exciting news,an early Christmas present, will be announced at 10.30. What could it be???
