    Hay Fever

My boy hasn't been himself for about 2 weeks and I think it might be hay fever. He certainly has some of the symptoms, runny nose, red under the eyes and a dry cough. Any suggestions as to what I can safely give a 6 year old to give him a bit of relieve.
  2. How do I get an email to Ron or someone who can do something?

    Hay Fever

I know pollen counts are expected to be very high this month because of the previous bad weather, so is anyone else suffering?
  5. Sleep

So, on average how much do you get at night? On an undisturbed (ie, no baby screaming the house down expecting a dummy to be retrieved), I reckon I get about 8. Bed by 10/10.30, up at 6.30. A colleague I once worked with reckoned he needed no more than 5 and didn't hit the hay until 1am -...

    RIP-Jack Taylor

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jul/27/jack-taylor-referee-dies My favourite Jack Taylor story is his reply to Johhny Haynes after the late great JH complained to him about a goal that JT had just given. JH:That was never a goal,Ref. JT.You have a look at the paper...

    Bosman List & Others Available

Thought it would be good to have one place that lists all of the players we've noticed are either released or otherwise available (transfer listed or been told they can find another club). I won't have time to constantly update this so it would be great if when the mods are on, if you see this...

Memory Lane BLUES Thrash OLDHAM/New Ground on hold

Well it’s not exactly “Breaking News” as this news broke sixty years ago when in Season 1951-52 Southend beat Oldham 5-0 in the second round of the Cup while an announcement was made about the new stadium (Roots Hall) being delayed. This how it was in early December 1951...
  10. Southend V Dartford

It's seems ages since the last time the Blues played and I've bet on football (prob only 6 weeks) , so I've gone early and backed us to beat Dartford tomorrow £20 @ 4/5. Won some money on Luke Donald today, so hay ho.
  11. Boxing rumours - Hatton/Khan/Haye

Few little bits I've seen/heard regarding the above fighters - TBH I had to check it wasn't April 1st Hatton - Whilst Oscar De La Hoya was over here for the Khan fight at the weekend, he offered Hatton a chance to fight Erik Morales in Vegas for a substantial amount of money. This comes just...

I'm just going to make something up, let me know what you reckon...

So I'm sat here a little drunk, not knowing whether it really is time to hit the hay so I thought it's high time I set the rumour mill in motion. Now I reckon that Moshni is going to be used as a makeweight in the next move that Ron has up his sleeve to get us away from Roots Hall, as has been...

    All down to you Ron!

Yes, here i am another loss and up i pop but surely the only bloke to blame is Mr. Martin. Your dream is backfiring badly, your manager does not know which way to turn (latest bargain basement just scored 2 for Southampton) how much further are we going to be sold down the river, this is getting...
  15. 50 games which defined a decade - Part 2 (2005-2009)

1st April 2005: Southend United 2 – 0 Bristol Rovers (League Two) The second half of the decade began with our beloved Shrimpers surging up the league on the back of a series of virtuoso performances from new signing Freddy Eastwood. From the second week of January we went on a long unbeaten run...

Now im not sure if this is the right place for this post but hay.... Im only 19 and to be honest, reading through all these posts has just confused my little brain. Ive supported the blues since i can remember and have some amazing memories, "beating man united", "drawing away to swansea &...

New season is nearly here, so time for a new thread. Anyone see this play from the HoF game? Amazing stuff. Look out for the block on the Bills 37 right at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7xksmk0ghc Naturally, I predict the Patriots to win it all. But Brady will probably fall over...
  19. Ref Watch .... Leicester City

Referee for what may be Leicester's promotion party, regardless of the result, is Clive Penton, from Sussex. A bit of a Graham Poll look-a-like, he is in his 8th and final season as a League referee. It is probably just as well he is nearing retirement age as he certainly isn't the quickest...

Just seen on OS that a new catering firm have taken over the bars, restaurants and foor outlets at RH. Good step, to get a professional organisation in. Anyone tasted their work at any of the grounds thay cater for already - Forest, Oldham, etc.... Good move i think.
