    Mohsni's Movements

BM played as one of the overage players in Ipswich 6-0 defeat of Cardiff today. He set up the first with a flick on from a long throw and then scored a 30 yard stunner. By all accounts played well according to my Ipswich supporting boss.
  2. Mohsni and Hall latest.

Bilel Mohsni is to trial with Celtic for a few days this week. Apparently West Ham not willing to improve on their original offer for him. And Ryan Hall's future continues to be in doubt. Blackpool and Peterborough show interest but as yet have not made bids. Source : Echo

    Latest Rumours Transfer Rumours

Southend set to sign an unnamed former no.1 by Wednesday. Stephen Brogan, John Spicer, Peter Leven and Adebayo Akinfenwa may join if Sturrock receives transfer funds from the sale of Bilel Mohsni. my Source being the blue voice Facebook page:smile:
  4. Hopes for the new season

Ok so there are still a few vacancies in our squad to be filled (most notably the goalkeeper) but the new season is drawing ever closer. After going so close last season and losing 3 key members of that side in Liam Dickinson, Anthony Grant and (probably) Bilel Mohsni what are our chances...

Bilel Mohsni - lovely article in the Echo

Well, as some of us thought earlier in the season when it looked like he had cooked his goose, it seems as though the late start to his professional career and being away from home have contributed to some of Bil's antics this season...

    Question Peter Gilbert

It was well reported that Peter Gilbert had the hump with Bilel Mohsni after he was sent off at Oldham. Is this still the case? Did anyone notice if Gilbert congratulated Mohsni on friday for any of his goals??

    Freddy's strike partner

It's been briefly discussed in another thread but I thought this deserved a discussion of it's own. So, who is best suited to play alongside Freddy? I see Harris and Benyon too similar to Freddy as the 'fox in the box' style forward. In my opinion there are 2 options. 1. Bilel Mohsni -...
  9. Pre-Match Thread Bristol Rovers v Southend United

Well, team selection will be interesting for this one. No goals in midweek but now the return of the Messiah and seemingly a return to favour of Bilel Mohsni should make for a few selection dilemmas for the manager. I think I'd go for: Belford Clohessy Barker Phillips Hills Grant Dailly...
  10. Bilel Mohsni - what is actually happening with him?

Just wanted to see if anyone actually knows what the score is with Bilel Mohsni, is he coming back into the fold or is he just going to waste away not even being on the bench....... Keep checking on the website etc but not seen any club statements about him since the last incident. So does...
  11. What do you suspect the Mohsni verdict will be?

Since saturday Paul Sturrock has refused to discuss the latest shannanigans of Bilel Mohsni. But he says he will release a statement regarding the player this week. Do you suspect his time is up this time or will he be spared yet again? That's not what you hope or wish for but what you think...

    Bilel at the back

Is the dressing room still having an affect on Bilel Mohsni? How Baldwin came straight into the side last night was ludicrous. Don't get me wrong, I think Baldwin is a good signing but he hasn't played a first team game for 3 months and it showed. I'm not saying Bilel playing would have...

    Bilel Mohsni vs Peter Gilbert

If one has to go out the exit door in January who's your money on? There's only one way to find out.......
  14. C C Csiders

    A considered opinion

There is an air of inevitability about defeat against Bradford on Friday evening, and when (not if) this occurs the time for big decisions will have been reached. That will be six games without a win, and, at least 12 without a good performance. For a team that was top of the league, two games...

    Goal music

I hate goal music (and the Americanisation of football in general) but if the club was to do something vaguely innovative/entertaining and choose a different song for a different scorer rather than stick with the god-awful Hey Baby, what would you choose? I'll start you off with... Anthony...

The A to Z of Bilel Mohsni

I don't know how many people have seen this A to Z of Mario Ballotelli? http://footballspeak.com/post/2011/10/24/The-A-to-Z-of-Mario-Balotelli.aspx I thought we could do a Shrimperzone Mohsni one. Add any wierd and wonderful facts or anocdotes added a couple already after googling him and...
  17. Trio of Clubs interest in Trio?

The Sunday express reported in a small caption yesterday that Nottingham Forest are hot on the trail of Kane Ferdinand and Bilel Mohsni. and a few lines in the Sunday People suggested Ipswich and Crystal Palace have stepped up their pursuit of Ryan Hall. As I said in a previous thread I wonder...
  18. SUFC Marmite XI

Watching the Northampton game and discussing with my brother the enigma that is Bilel Mohsni, it got me thinking about other players in his mould - you know, players who have liability and match-winning brilliance in equal measure, annihilate the opposition or implode taking the match with them...
  19. Question Bilel Mohsni - Where will he go?

Now I’m, like many, a big fan of Mohsni, but when everyone’s fit where will he go? For me he’s not an option long-term as a striker – I feel that when Dickinson and Corr are both fit they will certainly be a better option than Bilel. Although Dickinson only came on toward the end I saw enough to...

    One year on...

Hard to believe that just one year ago today, the overwhelming majority of the squad and management team had literally just walked through the door. We faced the coming season with just 3 senior players from the previous campaign and a transfer embargo threatening to scupper any deals for new...
