Please, please tell me that the winsome fivesome are not about to murder one of those almost untouchably good songs from the '80s... please let it be a coincidental choice of wording...

Matt

(P.S. Good to see Embrace and Björk with a track out... anyone heard yet, any good? Less good to see Ocean Colour Scene's resurrection, odd that it should return along with Chris Evans to our screens...)

Next week i can see Angel City hitting the top 10 with there fourth release.. i beleive theres an album in the offing towards the beginning of March. I also imagine Embrace to chart rather well, with what is a top tune... wierd video!

For the week comm the 21st... that fecking annoying little cow Verbalicious will prob challenge top spot with Elvis and Girls aloud (dont think its a cover btw). A Surprise top 20 will probably be DT8 - winter (aka Jurgen Vries/Darren Tate). Groove Cutters is also in with a shout of top 20, altho nebula are sh*te at promoting CD Singles.

As for the 28th of Feb, my personal fave and tip is Styles & Breeze. Top fecking tune, and deserves some recognintion, hopefully top 5. Also high up that week id imagine wil be Fatboy slim. Not a great song but a cracking video! I have a feeling that whatever is number 1 on the 21st will remain there for the 28th, as this in one of elvis's weakest releases IMO, but i wouldnt put money on what i just said,

Well with the state of the charts nowaday's, I can just believe that.
What i've noticed with that band is that they seem to nick other songs from years past, and put there own words over the top. But I wouldnt know what the new song is like, because Ive never heard it.

Mark Joseph's song is absolute class, however considering the bubblegum pop industry we have in this country, it won't make much of an impact in the top 40. Buy his album if you get the chance.

Im locked up ... Haha. Akon. Jog on mate!!

Anyway, back to something good. Stereophonic's new single is actually one of their best for a few years. They've released some utter sh*te lately but this is back to the old school days.

If i was ever to buy singles, these are the one's i'd buy. Replace 'buy' with 'download' ( LEGALLY, of course

Thats what I like to hear.

Anyways, I don't think that alot of their recent stuff was that bad, it just wasn't the same quality as Performance & Cocktails records.

P&C was their best ever album. I agree, no songs are as good as the ones on there.

Sorry Kev, disagree with you there. They are and have always been a sh*t Dad-Rock band, dull and getting duller!
